I just heard that there was a snow challenge that people could participate in this past week. Apparently, this was an online challenge issued to anyone who would go out into the snow in a tee shirt and shorts and fall into the snow! I wanted to call it snow stupidity! The only crazier thing I heard was when my son-in-law made a snow angel, had me take a picture of it, and then proceeded to tell Ezra, “Look an angel fell from heaven and landed in the snow!” He is not!

We all have tasks that we are expected to perform. Parents have tasks. The house has to be cleaned. The yard must be cared for. The children need supervision and proper care while they grow. Even the children have tasks. Most of them have some chores or jobs their parents expect them to do.

Bible study is a challenging and rewarding opportunity. Engaging the text requires “…rightly dividing the word of truth.” (II Timothy 2:15) It demands that we pay attention to each word since they came from the mind of God. Paul wrote concerning his commission from God to write Scripture, “These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” (I Corinthians 2:13)

I have been around some boys who grew so much over a short period of time that it took them a long time to “catch up”. It was not hard to see the problem. Though they were much taller than other boys, they were not nearly as coordinated. They were learning how to deal with their gangly arms and legs without losing complete control and flailing around aimlessly.
