You have probably experienced the same frustration that I have with people. It is a frustration that arises during a discussion of things in which the two of us are not in agreement. The frustration comes from the process of the disagreement, not the disagreement itself.

It is probably true that all parents have had this experience with their children. Mom says to one of the children, “I love you this much!” She had her arms spread wide. The child responds with arms spread even wider, “But, I love you this much!”

The “Madness” is over! For some teams, it was over before it ever began—right Cats’ fans? For others, it ended suddenly in their very first game. 68 teams began on the “Madness” Road. Only 1 survived the entire trip. Since I am writing this before the final game is played, I do not have a premonition about who will be the champion. All I know is that it will be either Michigan or Louisville.

In the late 1960s, there was a television show that I remember enjoying at the time though I do not have vivid memories of any specific episodes. The premise, however, is easy to remember. It was entitled Gentle Ben. It was the story of a family living near the Florida everglades that raised a bear as a family pet. Obviously, the bear’s name was the name of the show.
