Charity, kindness and benevolence are the heart of Christian living. A humble satisfaction should await us after helping another.

Disaster Relief

Tropical Storm Debby

Men of our congregation have traveled thousands of miles to assist those who have been displaced by floods or storms. Those same men have also helped many local families, both members of the church and others. We will continue to offer such assistance when needed.

Holiday Food Baskets

We provide food boxes through the Madison County school system to students and their families to help while school is out for the holiday season.

Potter Children's Home and Childplace

Money is budgeted for each of these organizations to assist homeless children. Potters is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Childplace is in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

McCready Manor Transportation

Senior TransportationTransportation is provided for our senior brothers and sisters to and from McCready Manor for Sunday church services, Wednesday night Bible classes and other special events of the congregation.

Teddy Bear Program

We provide teddy bears for children who are treated at the local hospital emergency room and Instant Care Center. The Teddy Bear program is one of the most visual of our outreach activities. For years, our women have been making cloth bears for children who are treated at the emergency room at Baptist Health Richmond (formerly Pattie A. Clay Hospital).  Many parents have contacted us to express their appreciation for the bears.  They tell heart-warming stories about how their child became less frightened when he or she was given a bear to cuddle.
