preschool-sLittle Hands Preschool will provide your child an opportunity to learn in a small group setting. Each week your child will learn about one specific letter of the alphabet. We will begin with the letter "A" and work alphabetically through the school year. Lessons and activities will be focused around words that begin with the letter of the week. We will also have a special book that can go along with the letter. You will be provided with a list of the books that we will be reading.

Your child will learn a variety of skills throughout the school year. In addition to letter identification, colors, shapes, and numbers, your child will also be introduced to calendar skills, weather, seasons, science, cooking, art, crafts, and physical education. During PE class, your child will be learning a variety of gross motor skills. The children will learn the concepts of up/down, in/out, front/back, over/under, top/bottom/middle, fast/slow. Through fun activities your child will learn the listed concepts as well as rolling, jumping, skipping, balancing, going forward and backward in a straight line, and throwing.

Fine motor skills will be addressed in multiple classes. Students will learn through puzzles, drawing, coloring, cutting simple shapes, painting, playing instruments, clapping, and manipulating fasteners (buttons, snaps, zippers, etc).
