Who is This Man?

His own disciples asked the question, “Who can this be?  For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!” (Luke 8:25).  The people in His home town asked it, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works?  Is this not the carpenter’s son?  Is not His mother called Mary?  And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?  And His sisters, are they not all with us?  Where then did this Man get all these things?” (Matthew 13:54-56).

The multitudes marveled (Matthew 15:31).  The Pharisees marveled causing them to leave His presence (Matthew 22:22).  The people of Capernaum were amazed (Mark 2:12).  The people with Him by the Sea of Galilee were astonished beyond measure (Mark 7:37).  The scholars in the Temple were astonished at His understanding and answers which even caused His own parents to be amazed (Luke 2:47-48).

I can only imagine what it must have been like to be confronted with what seemed to be the unexplainable actions of the man called Jesus of Nazareth.  His miraculous works were legendary so that multitudes followed Him everywhere He went.  His only escapes were in a boat on the water or in a secret place that only His disciples knew.

One thing is for sure; this Man changed the world!  Nothing has been the same since He entered this physical plane.  Even all of time is dated from His birth—BC/AD!

But, one thing has not changed.  People still don’t know who He is.  There are many opinions and theories which are designed to lessen His impact and weaken His position.  However, He is still the Lord of Lords and King of Kings!  That cannot be denied successfully!  The end of time will certainly verify this.  So, the choice is to accept the obvious now or realize it later.  Which do you choose?
