Pulpit Minister
Michael Johnson has been preaching regularly since 1978; full-time since 1985. After serving in Huntingdon, Tennessee and Arnold, Missouri, he has been preaching in Richmond, Kentucky since 1991.
Michael received his education at Freed-Hardeman University, Lipscomb University, and Lexington Theological Seminary. His book “Consider This...Home Sweet Home 'Stories from the Home Front'” was released in 1997, and is a compilation of stories about the home and family that had their origin in his weekly newspaper column entitled “Consider This...” He has also published 44 tracts: Worship, The Church, The Bible Addresses Life, Reality, Authority, and Salvation, to name a few. Michael has also published a book for college freshmen, While You are Away from Home.
Michael married Rebecca Nearhoof in 1981 and has three children with 2 sons-in-laws and 1 daughter-in-law, Stephanie Johnson Clark, her husband Brett Clark, Austin Michael Johnson and wife Brianne Johnson, and Aubri Johnson Green and her husband Kevin Green. Michael and Rebecca are the proud grandparents of 3 grandsons, and 2 granddaughters.
Michael enjoys being a student of God’s word, sports, working on numerous home projects, and playing with his grandchildren.

Resident Missionary
After many years of being a local evangelist, David Paher and his family have undertaken a tremendous work to spread the gospel to the world. David has created LivingWater414 as the tool he will use to reach out to the indigenous Amerindian people of Guyana. Each year David schedules multiple trips to Guyana to teach, preach, and otherwise evangelize the towns and villages. We are truly blessed to have David and his family here and to be a part of their effort.

Seniors’ Minister
Jack Hall, who served for many years as an elder of this congregation, now serves as our Seniors Minister. He is ably assisted by his wife Carole. Jack works tirelessly to see that the needs of our senior members are not neglected. Jack is known throughout Kentucky as a servant leader. He is respected among the area churches and is often asked to teach, preach, or advise others in our local brotherhood.
Family Minister
David May has been a bi-vocational preacher and college professor since 2009. After serving in Beattyville, Kentucky, and Columbus, Mississippi, David began his work in Richmond in July 2023.
David received his education at the University of North Alabama and Mississippi State University. David's academic specialty is Criminology, working largely with troubled youths and incarcerated individuals; the work here at Richmond is his first as a family minister. David was married for 27 wonderful years to his wife Natalie, who passed from this life in November, 2021. He has three young adult children: James, Will, and Grace, all of whom currently reside in Mississippi. David enjoys reading, golf, motorcycle riding, traveling, and spending time with his children.
